Out On a Limb

There is a change coming for me and my family. I will not longer be a pastor at a large church but will be stepping out to begin a new phase of life and ministry. I am moving toward the launching of a missional house church movement which will officially begin on June first. In actuality it has already begun. Over the past year a group of people have gathered at our house to talk God, life, and faith. We have been challenged by the way we see church lived out and deeply desire something different. What we desire is the experience of the kingdom of God here on this earth. To experience this we believe three things need to be present: Mission, Transformation, and Community. We desire to be a holistic community that "does life" together and is being transformed into the image of God. We don't exist for ourselves but rather, we exist for mission to a culture of people that wants nothing to do with the church. If we can experience these three things coming together, we believe we will experience the tangible kingdom of God. We are prayerfully thrilled!
